Maybe Baby?

Bill and I are really excited about next week. On Monday the 24th I go for my sonogram to see how big my follicles have gotten. If they are at the correct size then we get to do IUI as long as there are no other issues that come up like last time. Let me explain more about the steps we have to take just to get to next Monday:

1) on cycle days 3-7 I take Letrozole (more commonly known as Femara) which is used to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Amazing how one drug can help treat one thing and can also help my follicles grow!

2) when I go on Monday if my follicles have grown to the correct size, which is 18-22mm, then they will give me a shot of HCG to help my follicles (eggs) release within 24-36 hours.

3) on Tuesday the 25th Bill will go in the morning and make his sperm deposit and then they will "wash" it and it will then be inseminated into me after that.

4) then we do lots of praying that it worked! :)

Wish us luck!!!!!

  3. I will be keeping you guys in my thoughts. We are to go see the Dr in Feb if we are not pregnant by then. I read one of your later posts about ppl around you getting pregnant and you being frustrated. I know how you feel. I have family members and friends that are all getting pregant, even some who are not trying and its so hard to be happy when all i want to do is cry! Hopefully this is the year for you guys! Good Luck

  4. Thanks Melissa! It is very hard to watch everyone around you get pregnant when we are having such a difficult time. I try and put on a happy face for them, but I do still cry about it because I am jealous of them. I'll keep you in my thoughts as well. Let me know if you ever need to talk! :)
